Tourist Police


The Tourist Police co-ordinates with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and provides help for tourists who have experienced difficulties during their visit to Thailand. The Tourist police are responsible for handling claims and complaints and investigating any problems which tourists have experienced. Currently there are about 500 tourist policemen who are stationed in major tourist areas like the Grand Palace, Patpong and Lumpini Park.

Bi-lingual Tourist Police can be found at the Tourism Authority of Thailand offices in Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Phuket and Kanchanaburi. In the case of emergency, you should contact :
