Half Day Tours

Kayaking in the Mangroves
Starting on Had Yao Beach, the kayaks are towed up the estuary by long tail boat. The tiny tributaries, which are two or three metres across can then be explored either by paddling or being paddled. This fascinating eco-system has many different types of birds and wildlife, plus for the more adventurous, there are also some caves to explore.
Khao Kob Cave
The tour starts with a scenic drive through the countryside and surrounding rubber plantations. The cave is then entered by boat along a very narrow stream and the roof of the cave is so low that at points you have to lie flat in the boat. At several places you can leave the boat to walk through chambers filled with floor to ceiling stalagmites and stalactites, a truly impressive sight. Then learn about how rubber is produced and see the "hand clap" pond, a strange phenomenon where bubbles effervesce to the surface when a loud noise is made.
Bicycle Trip
Starting with a minibus ride to the nearby hot springs at Ban Khuan Khaeng, participants then take an easy ride by mountain bike to the nearby national park through some small villages where one can experience local life first hand. The tour ends with a BBQ lunch in the national park.
