Shopping Phuket's main shopping areas are found on Ratsada Road, Montri Road, Yaowarat Road, Phang Nga Road and Thalang Road in Phuket Town.   Plus, the Thepkrasattri Road north of the town and in Patong, Kata and Karon beaches. Tailor shops can be found everywhere and as labour costs are relatively inexpensive, a top-quality handmade suit can be purchased at an attractive price.   However, as there are some shops which try to get away with making poorer quality items for tourists, it is best to get a recommendation.   If you prefer, local tailors can supply the cloth for you, or you can choose your own favourite from one of the many cloth merchants on Thalang Road. Pearls, batiks, and pewter ware are some of Phuket's best known local products.   Shops that specialise in these items are found on Rasada Road, Phang Nga Road, Montri Road, Yaowarat  Road and Tilok Unit I Road in Phuket Town and on beaches such as Patong, Kata, Karon and Rawai. Travelling markets are also set up periodically in a variety of spots on different days of the week. These offer everything from glassware to fresh fish to children's clothes.   Phuket's night market, near Robinson's, offers an assortment of trinkets and gadgets at reasonable prices.
